Cheetahs

One of the great wild cats, the cheetah is the fastest land animal in the world. Distinguishable from the leopard by black tear stripes and a slender build, the cheetah can hit a top speed of 70 mph.

The African Wildlife Foundation lists the cheetah's conservation status as Vulnerable, while the U.S. Endangered Species Act lists the cheetah's protection status as Endangered.
